Corporate Social Responsibility

At SIL, we strive to be a great enduring company by championing business practices that help produce social, environmental and economic benefits for the communities in which we operate. SIL focuses its efforts on providing a great work environment for our partners (employees); making a positive contribution to our communities; working with host communities to help ensure their long-term success and minimizing our environmental impact.

In fiscal 2011, we signed an MoU with German International Cooperation (GIZ) to help Local Shea Processors in Gbako Local Government Area of Niger State, Nigeria to improve income through consistent butter production and marketing and as a result become competent partners in an improved Shea Value Chain for export and domestic market.

Our community service also includes HIV/AIDs awareness and education programs for Nigerians in the communities where we operate.
